Anna has been with TeamSmile since January of 2017. She discovered TeamSmile in 2016 through volunteer work with the University of Kansas Pre-Dental Society. After volunteering, Anna fell in love with the organization and their mission, and wanted to be a bigger part of fulfilling that mission. She started with TeamSmile as an intern, and has since graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Community Health. Anna now is a Program Manager for TeamSmile.
As a Program Manager, Anna participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all TeamSmile programs. In the office, she is in charge of volunteer recruitment and registration, mass communications regarding program promotion, website design and updating, and data input and analysis. At TeamSmile programs, she helps set up and take down program equipment, check in both volunteers and children, and assists with any thing the Program Director, volunteers, or children may need.
Anna is passionate about helping underserved children gain access to free dental care and oral health education. She believes education is a key component for life-long health. Anna’s goal is to partner her degree in Community Health with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and plans to continue serving those with limited resources throughout her career.
